PLEASE NOTE THAT WE DO NOT CURRENTLY HAVE ANY VET CLINICS SCHEDULED AND ARE UNABLE TO OFFER SPAY/NEUTER SERVICES. PLEASE CALL THE SHELTER FOR FURTHER ASSISTANCE.
For over 30 years, OCHS has worked to end pet overpopulation by serving community pets with spay/neuter services whenever possible. Because we do not have a veterinarian on staff, we rely on the generosity of visiting vets to help our shelter and community pets.
In 2023, 293 community pets were spayed or neutered here at OCHS. An additional 159 spay/neuter vouchers totaling $23,398 were issued for our neighbors to take their pets to their own vet for services. Programs like this are only available thanks to donors who believe in our mission.
Spay/Neuter clinics at OCHS are available for cats by appointment only. If you need help spaying or neutering a dog, call the shelter to see if you’re eligible for a spay/neuter voucher. Cat guardians can get on our waiting list for a spay/neuter appointment by calling the shelter at 541-997-4277 or applying for a voucher to see a veterinarian of their choice.
