The Oregon Coast Humane Society Thrift Store is one of the best kept secrets in Florence! Voted the Best Thrift Store in 2023, Florence locals and visitors alike enjoy shopping for treasures while supporting the shelter animals in our care.
Almost every day there’s a shelter cat “manager” on duty greeting customers as they enter and keeping everyone entertained. Visitors see firsthand how their donations and purchases impact the animals.
Because our Thrift Store is volunteer-powered, it’s one of our largest fundraisers every year. Volunteers (along with two staff members) price donated goods, merchandise the store, and make the store a great shopping destination. If you’d like to join us as a volunteer, stop by the store or fill out a volunteer application online. OCHS is regularly voted the Best Place to Volunteer in Florence, and you’ll see why when you join our shelter or Thrift Store team. We raise funds AND fun!
You can bring donations to the store during normal business hours, seven days a week. We’ll help you unload your items if needed and provide you with a tax receipt. We’re a 501(c)(3) organization, so all donations are tax deductible as allowed by law.

The OCHS PAWliday Store
The PAWliday Store is a seasonal shop located in the Vintage House next to the Thrift Store. It’s dedicated to spreading holiday cheer while supporting animals in need. Open for just one month starting November 1st, the store offers a selection of donated holiday décor and festive items collected year-round. Twinkling lights, glitter, decorated trees, and tons of other incredible surprises await! Every purchase directly benefits the animals at OCHS, so shop at the PAWliday Store and make your holidays even more meaningful!
